Louisiana Council for Obesity Prevention and Management

The Louisiana Council on Obesity Prevention and Management was created by the Louisiana Legislature more than a decade ago to address the problem of childhood and adult obesity. Council members represent the public and private sector and assist in developing and implementing programs, projects and research to respond to the challenge of obesity management.

HLC is proud to be a long-time member of the Council, serving on the Health and Education Advisory Committee and advocating for program and policy changes that will reduce childhood obesity in Louisiana and beyond.
