HLC’s 1st Annual Run for Health was a Success!

Sponsored by Sam’s Club, UnitedHealthcare, Semolina and Capital One, HLC’s 1st Annual Run for Health was a great success and will help provide health education resources to the Greater New Orleans community! Sam's Club sponsored 50 local teachers and administrators from Orleans and Jefferson Parishes to participate in the race. At the Run for Health starting line, Sam’s Club presented Healthy Lifestyle Choices (HLC) with a check for $40,000, which will enable Healthy Lifestyle Choices to continue its local behavioral health programming. Currently Healthy Lifestyle Choices programming reaches 65% of school children in the Greater New Orleans Area.

A significant amount of Sam’s Club donations are made at the local level where their Members and Associates live, work and play to support programs such as Healthy Lifestyle Choices. Sam’s Club facilities on average provide more than $6 million in grants to a variety of causes including education, workforce development, environmental and health and wellness focused nonprofit organizations.
HLC is honored to be one of their locally supported initiatives.
